Endorsements

Organized labor has recognized Richard Harding’s continuing commitment to working families, fair labor practices and sustaining wages.  Harding received the endorsement of the Greater Boston Labor Council this summer and it was followed by a many others in the labor movement who recognized that they have had and will have a friend in Richard Harding.

Richard is a candidate for city council in Cambridge, whose election is on Tuesday, November 7th.  John Murphy of the Teamsters Local 122, in endorsing Richard said that he “was impressed with [Richard’s] understanding of the issues confronting working families today.”   Harding was endorsed also by the International Association of Heat & Frost Insulators and Allied Workers Union, Local 6 – better known as the Asbestos Workers –  who said they “were proud to endorse” his campaign.

Richard has been fighting for responsible, family friendly development that addresses our needs for affordable housing at multiple levels and the need for renewal of school buildings, including the three projects in action and in the pipeline.  The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 4 reflected Richard Harding’s “strong support of issues affecting working families” in their endorsement.

Harding humbly accepted these statements of support, adding “It is with great pride and honor that I accept the profound responsibility of advocating and fighting for working families in the city of Cambridge and across the commonwealth.  I will continue to work tirelessly, to ensure that working families in Cambridge have a real shot at realizing the American dream.”

IBAC’s Charles Raso exclaimed, “thank you for your dedication to the labor movement.”
